After some big drops over the last couple of days, markets seem to be heading back up in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s some bad news for Block, formerly known as Square\u200a\u2014\u200aalthough it might be going back to Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tax preparation company H&R Block has filed an infringement lawsuit against the payment processing company over the name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
H&R feel that since square has acquired the tax preparation company Credit Karma Tax, there would be some confusion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their press release on the lawsuit claims Dorsey\u2019s company, \u201cwould improperly capitalize on the goodwill and consumer trust cultivated by Block since 1955.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
H&R Block President and CEO Jeff Jones said, \u201cToday\u2019s filing is an important effort to prevent consumer confusion and ensure a competitor cannot leverage the reputation and trust we have built over more than six decades.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of right now, there has been no comment from Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although some larger banks still look at Crypto as a threat, payment processing services seem to be ready to take advantage of the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal have all decided to invest more into crypto development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paypal is working on allowing interaction with DeFi networks, and the ability for users to transfer crypto in and out of its digital wallets\u200a\u2014\u200asomething we all know is an important feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mastercard has come out saying they plan to add cryptocurrencies to its multi-rail network as native currencies for settlement. They also hope to become an on-ramp for NFT marketplaces\u200a\u2014\u200awhich seems like a good bet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visa sees itself becoming a Layer 2 solution that can operate on top of the blockchain network as the company does with fiat-based networks. They are also working on partnerships with crypto wallets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For miners, specs from Nvidia\u2019s RTX 3080 12GB GPU have been leaked\u200a\u2014\u200aand it\u2019s looking good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The card was supposed to be officially announced tomorrow, but due to supply chain issues, it has been put off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fair warning to the average person, this is about to get super tech nerdy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 3080 is reportedly upgrading to the GA102\u2013220 GPU. It will also come with 8960 CUDA cores, which is 256 more cores than the previous model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will also feature a 384-bit memory bus interface, providing 912 GB\/s of bandwidth. The original RTX 3080 offers a bandwidth of 760 GB\/s. That\u2019s a pretty big difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although there hasn\u2019t been any work on clock speeds, it is said to get a 20% boost in its hash rate\u200a\u2014\u200awhich would be huge for miners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now it\u2019s time to turn our focus over to the world of NFTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gary V has landed a new big partnership for NFTs. VaynerNFT has teamed up with the famous fashion brand Coach to celebrate its 80th anniversary and its message of \u201cGive A Little Love,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coach will release 80 one-of-a-kind NFTs, featuring animals like Coach\u2019s mascot Rexy, Fuzz the polar bear, Belle the penguin, Holly the deer, Ginger the fox, Paddles the goose, Luna the owl and Spike the hedgehog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NFTs will be released from Dec. 17 through Dec. 24. 10 NFTs of each animal will be released each day at noon EST. You can follow Coach on Twitter for more details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am a bit scared of this next story, so I saved it for last. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The latest person to enter the NFT game, and I imagine try to pay down a massive debt, is Melania Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The office of Melania Trump said the project will kick off with a \u201cbreathtaking watercolor\u201d showcasing the former first lady\u2019s \u201ccobalt blue eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first NFT is called Melania\u2019s Vision and features just the former first lady\u2019s heavily made-up eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They will cost $150 and the digital artwork comes with \u201can audio recording from Mrs. Trump with a message of hope,\u201d her office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A portion of the proceeds is said to be going to help children aging out of the foster-care system through her Be Best program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will be available from Dec. 16 to Dec. 31. on MelaniaTrump.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
